British Rowing Awards 2021 Shortlist

Now that the BR Awards Shortlist is published we can celebrate the clubs, crews and volunteers from this Region who have achieved national recognition.

In the Club of the Year category we are delighted to congratulate both Lea RC and Isle of Ely RC for making the national shortlist.

In the Rowing Project of the Year we are represented by the Lea IBelong project and by Fairlop RC

For the COVID Hero the Region is represented by Chris Elder and Hayley Shipton of Peterborough City

Club Crew of the Year has Eastern Region representation in the form of the perennially strong Cantabrigian Womens 8 and in University Crew of the Year the CUBC Mens Blue Boat crew

The individual Regional winners, going forward to the national shortlist are

Volunteer of the Year – Alice Draper, Milton Keynes RC

Rising Star of the Year – Chris Radbone, Cantabrigian RC

Lifetime Achievement Award – Tony Roper, Yare BC

And last but by very no means least, the national winner of Club Development Coach of the Year and going forward to the overall Coach of the Year award is Rob Mayes of Broxbourne RC.
