Grassroots and youth rowing
Henley Royal Regatta Charitable Trust, London Youth Rowing and Warrington Youth Rowing are launching Rocking The Boat 2021 – a brand new conference to discuss the future of grassroots rowing in the UK.
The Rocking The Boat conference is being held at the River & Rowing Museum in Henley on Thames on October 22nd and will explore the current position of grassroots rowing in the country, while considering the best way forward. For more details see the London Youth Rowing page here.
Time to Listen virtual classroom training for Welfare Officers
Time to Listen is a 3hr 30 min workshop for Club Welfare Officers (CWO) offered by Living Sport and recognised as valid by British Rowing.
The workshop will:
- Describe how a club welfare officer works with others to create a child centered environment
- Explain how the club welfare officer role fits into the wider safeguarding environment
- Apply learning to case studies including sharing good safeguarding practice
